|  |   |  | Friday 29 February 2008 Symposium: Haematology Hosted by the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, the topics covered will include a haemato-oncology update, myeloproliferation disorders, clotting and updates in transfusion and transplantation. Dr Peter Hillmen, Consultant Haematologist, will give a presentation on the prognostic factors and management for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia; while Dr Graham Jackson, Consultant Haematologist, from the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, will present on the treatment and complications of myeloma bone disease. Professor Jane Apperley will be discussing the impact of Imatinib in the management of chronic myeloid leukaemia. Nurses will find these topics relevant to their work in the haematology setting.
