Crossing the London Marathon finishing line this April will be an extra special milestone for Leukaemia Research’s celebrity running team, as this year marks the 25th anniversary of the group.
Acting stars from stage and screen have been pounding the pavements as part of the TVTimes and Asics sponsored team since 1982, raising thousands of pounds to fund vital research into blood cancers.
Certain famous faces have appeared time and again as part of Leukaemia Research’s banana army. Emmerdale stars Chris Chittel and Tony Audenshaw have been running for the charity for several years, the latter clocking up the fastest celebrity time in last year’s London Marathon.
In only a few weeks time, stars from Emmerdale, Spooks and The Bill will running the 26.2 miles in their bright yellow t-shirts, so go bananas and cheer them on!
