New sponsors have teamed up with Alternative Hair in the bid to make this year’s show a spectacular event.
Attendees of this year's Alternative Hair Show - "Renaissance" – which takes place on Sunday 23rd October 2005, will see some exciting new changes to this enduring event.
Anthony Mascolo, Alternative Hair President, announced earlier this year that his company, TIGI, would become the main Show Sponsor for the 2005 show, but was adamant that this sponsorship should not be exclusive. He emphasised that TIGI welcomed other companies to participate in the funding of an evening, which is not only one of the most powerful hairdressing events in the world, but also an important fund-raiser for Leukaemia Research.
To date several companies have very kindly agreed to give their support with more names still to be announced. Alternative Hair is very pleased to welcome new Charity Sponsors led by Schwarzkopf, Takara Belmont, Aston & Fincher and Vision TV.
Support from the international trade press is also crucial and Alternative Hair is very grateful to their UK Media Partners - Hairdressers Journal International, Estetica, Creative Head and Salon Business, as well as many international publications.
Some changes are also to be made to the show's format. After the success of last year's Visionary Award - a competition to give new blood an opportunity to participate in the Alternative Hair Show, 10 individuals will once again win a place to present a model in the Visionary Award Show.
New to this year's Alternative Hair Show will be a presentation by some of the Great Masters of International Hairdressing. Iconic hairdressers, personally invited by Anthony Mascolo, will each present a model.
You can expect to see 'pret-a-porter' as well as 'couture' hair in an evening that will be packed with glitz and glamour.
