| | Team Andy Stewart is made up of family and friends of Andy Stewart who tragically lost his life, aged 15, to Leukaemia, only 12 days after being diagnosed, in May 2006.
Andy touched the nation when a BBC documentary filmed Andy in hospital and he spoke about his fear of facing death at a young age. Andy’s bravery touched so many people.
Team Andy Stewart, formed shortly after Andy's death (initially by members of Dunfermline Carnegie Hockey Club, of which he was a first team player) received recognition at Pedal For Scotland 2007 from Leukaemia Research by being awarded the David Carmichael Memorial Quaich.
PFS 2006 Team made up of 41 cyclists raised over £17K PFS 2007 Team made up of 90+ cyclists and raised over £24k* *Team fundraising bolstered by participation from friends at Scottish Power and RBS

Everyone in Team Andy Stewart who took part in Pedal for Scotland in memory of Andy (a young brave guy whose life was shortened by leukaemia and whose family and friends want to keep his memory alive) helped, not only by raising much needed funds for our vital research, but also in raising awareness of how leukaemia can destroy lives.
