Little Alex Adams from Coundon in Coventry has found a very novel way of celebrating a very special occasion. The six year-old St Osburgs School pupil is celebrating the first anniversary of the end of his treatment for leukaemia by climbing the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon, on April 4th.

*LAND AHOY!- SAM COMPLETES EPIC 3,000-MILE ATLANTIC ROW
*Sam Knight
23 year-old Sam Knight from Newark, Notts, became the youngest person to row the Atlantic solo when he arrived in Barbados last week (19th March). As part of the Atlantic Rowing race Sam has spent two months at sea since leaving the Canaries and has rowed nearly 3,000 miles.

They say charity begins at home - well, big-hearted employees of Dairy Crest have shown that it also starts down on the farm! The efforts of the company - whose Household Division is based in Aldershot - on behalf of Leukaemia Research have netted a £250,000 cash cow for the cancer charity.

A Kayak instructor from Holyhead will be keeping an important promise when he sets out this summer (June 20th) to kayak 900 miles around the entire coastline of Ireland.

Pupils at Bolton School Boys’ Division swapped their traditional school uniform for jeans and trainers - and paid £1 each for the privilege. This wasn’t the latest ruse for funding the education system but a terrific fundraising idea for Leukaemia Research.

A man from Nottinghamshire is aiming to become the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic. Sam Knight, a 23-year-old Oxford graduate, will complete the amazing feat when he takes part in the first-ever solo rowing race across the world's second largest ocean.
