 | | October 2008 saw Beefy’s 12th charity walk. Over nine days Sir Ian walked through nine towns in the UK to raise money for Leukaemia Research. In a new twist to his previous walks, Beefy invited members of the public to walk with him in exchange for their own sponsorship for the charity.
Beefy has touched the lives of thousands of people through the years; from cricket fans to school children, leukaemia patients and their friends and family. |

More young people die from blood cancers than any other cancer.
When Sir Ian Botham started fundraising for Leukaemia Research children diagnosed with leukaemia had just a 20% chance of survival. Today it is an 80% chance. We know that our research is making a difference, but we have much more to do, which is why Sir Ian is taking to the streets again.
By taking part in Beefy’s Corporate Team Challenge in October 2008, you will help us raise more money to help save the lives of children and young people across the UK.
