| | | | In 2007, leading bathroom suppliers, the Bristan Group chose Leukaemia Research as its Charity of the Year.
Their commitment to Leukaemia Research is in memory of Lucy, the daughter of their sales manager for Ireland. Lucy sadly lost her battle with leukaemia in 2006, aged just 15 months. In a bid to raise an impressive £50,000, staff at Bristan have undertaken lots of fundraising initiatives to fund our research and help beat leukaemia.
Earlier this summer the company enjoyed a Family Fun Day at their new head quarters in Tamworth, Staffordshire raising over £1,200 from their tombola. In addition to this an abundance of sponsored slims, head shaves and fun runs have helped swell the pot. In August a team of triathletes, including the CEO and Managing Director, each completed the grueling Olympic distance at the London Triathlon raising over £6,000 and in the Autumn they are planning a Sportsman’s Dinner to raise even more funds.
“I am very proud of the enthusiasm our employees have shown in supporting our bid to reach our £50,000 target”, said Steve Lee, CEO. “We are now very close to reaching the first £20,000 and remain as passionate as ever to help fund research to beat this terrible disease”.
