This weekend is set to be one of the most exciting ever in Leukaemia Research's sporting history, with hundreds of competitors taking part in both the London Marathon and the City Challenge.
Yes, it's that time of year again, the London Marathon, when hundreds of our Banana Army runners will be taking to the streets to put their hard work to the test. On behalf nof Leukaemia Research, good luck to all those taking part.
This weekend also sees competitors in the Intelligent Sport City Challenge event test their training. Leukaemia Research has this year been made the official charity for the unique event which will see company employees battling it out at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes in a range of disciplines. They will be taking part in many activities, from physical tests such as running and climbing to puzzles and strategic challenges.
Our Chairman of Fundraising, Alastair Campbell will be taking part in a team including the first winner of TV's The Apprentice, Tim Campbell.
100 teams of four from the cream of City companies such as Lloyds TSB, BT, Deloitte and Deutsche Bank will be competing. The challenge aims to combine getting mentally and physically fit with team motivation and development.
