Training for the Bananaman Chase 10K
Coolrunning.com has several different 10K training programmes to help you prepare for the event. The programmes below are designed to help you develop your endurance, as well as speed so you can beat as many bananas as possible!
The training schedules that are attached are flexible, as everyone is different, so feel free to adapt them to your style.
Each programme, brought to you by
coolrunning.com includes a schedule for a "pre-training week" to help you gauge your fitness. If you are not already able to run the mileage for that week comfortably, take a few weeks to build gradually to that level, adding one mile to your long run every week. You should be able to run that pre-training schedule comfortably for four to five weeks.
