Bananaman Chase

The Bananaman Chase in Milton Keynes

Bananaman Chase start lineup

This years Milton Keynes Bananaman Chase took place in the beautiful setting of Willen Lake on Sunday 21 September 2008. It was a beautiful Indian Summers day which really added to the fantastic atmosphere. We are hoping to raise a magnificent £50,000 to fund our life-saving blood cancer research. So thank you to all our runners and everyone that made the day possible.

Our Milton Keynes 2007 event was a huge success, but this year was even bigger. With over 500 runners and 200 junior runners, it was a spectacular sight to see Willen Lake filled with the Banana Army bright yellow T-shirts! Our ten top bananas and a live band added to the fun by motivating our army of runners. The bananas have all been affected by a blood cancer and so highlight the importance of events like this by sharing their personal experiences.

Along with the Bananaman Chase 10k, we were delighted to host a Junior Bananaman Chase 2k for children under 12. This meant the whole family could come along for a great day out!

By taking part in this years Bananaman Chase's, you have helped us raise the £100 million we need to commit to essential research over the next five years.
