Bikeathons around Britain

Fundraising in your community

Bikeathon around Britain entrants relaxing

Getting your community involved is a great way of increasing awareness of your fundraising, the event you are organising and more importantly the charity you are raising money for. Please see below a few examples to get you started:

-Night in with friends – Invite your friends to dinner and ask them to donate what they would have spent on a meal out.

-Auction/Raffle – Ask people to donate a skill/their time and then hold a raffle or auction.

-Pub – Themed evening (quiz, karaoke, raffles.)

-Gym – Ask people to donate their locker money. Sponsored cycle in gym which can be part of your training.

-Collecting – Seek permission from shops and either collect outside or whilst bag packing.

-School – Non-uniform day at £1 per pupil. Offer to talk in school and raise awareness.
