Leukaemia Research chief executive Cathy Gilman and Professors Herbie Newell and Andy Hall (right) launched a groundbreaking centre that will put Newcastle at the forefront of cancer research.

The new Newcastle Centre for Cancer Research will bring benefits to patients in the North East as well as the rest of the UK and is jointly funded by Leukaemia Research and two other charities.
